Jackson, Miss. — Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions, Inc. (EA&E) today announced it has acquired an emulsion plant in Mt. Pleasant, Tenn., from Strawser Construction, Inc. EA&E will acquire full ownership of the facility on May 4, 2015. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Mt. Pleasant emulsion plant provides EA&E with an additional 346,000 gallons of capacity and will allow the company to further extend its market presence in Tennessee. Both cationic and anionic emulsions will be produced at the facility. EA&E expects to hire the majority of the plant’s existing staff.
