Hot In-Place Recycling (HIR) is an environmentally friendly, cost-effective method for rehabilitating worn asphalt pavements, increasing friction and addressing distresses such as large cracks and ruts.
During the HIR process, up to 2 inches of existing pavement are heated, milled and then mixed with an asphalt binder and other additives as needed.
Like all recycled asphalt treatments, HIR has a small carbon footprint and reduced binder consumption, which leads to reduced emissions.
Contact your local salesperson for more information on Ergon’s HIR emulsion.
