Jackson, MS – ErgonArmor announced today that it has acquired a production facility located in Memphis, Tennessee, as well as a portion of land adjacent to its existing plant in Kansas City, Kansas.
Previously owned by AGS Harbor LLC, ErgonArmor had been subleasing the Memphis facility from Harcros Chemical since 1998. The purchase of this 70,000-square-foot production plant will allow ErgonArmor to further invest in and expand the facility, which currently produces epoxy and asphalt emulsion coatings.
The acquisition of 1.38-acres of land located alongside ErgonArmor’s existing plant in Kansas City will provide additional space for future expansion of the facility. The company currently manufactures solvent-based asphalt products for a wide range of industries at this location.
Larry Erickson, Senior Vice President and General Manager of ErgonArmor, said, “ErgonArmor has been on a trajectory of growth since its inception. Adding these assets allows us to augment our existing facilities, and positions us to enter new markets while expanding our existing product lines.”
J. Baxter Burns, II, President of Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions, Inc., said, “These acquisitions are part of our vision to increase the presence of Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions and its associated companies throughout the United States. We’re excited about ErgonArmor’s broadened capabilities, and look forward to their continued growth.”
